Mamluk al-Ghawanima Minaret

Description

A close view of the Mamluk al-Ghawanima minaret of the al-Aqsa mosque, which is made entirely of stone, and consists of a series of blocks and divided into separate stories by moldings. There is a timber canopy above the muezzin’s gallery, and the whole is topped by a bulbous dome capped by a finial.
