Abstract

View of the Exedra, or semicircular recess, honoring the Kings of Argos. This monument featured 10 statues of Argive kings and heroes, as well as some other commemorative statues.

Description

View of the Exedra of the Argive Kings, seen from the West. This monument was constructed in the 4th century BCE and was intended to display 20 statues of Argive kings and leaders. The monument only ever held ten statues, however, in addition to some other commemorative sculptures.
